You can trust in pioneer plants

Salvaged polythene sheet, ink, and plants-not-weeds. March 2022.

Commission for Positive Images Festival, Ecofriendly Images and Words, Litten Tree Building, Coventry, March - April 2022

Reflects the lives of more-than-human species living in human-designed urban spaces and on the precarious nature of those spaces. Derived from ground level research in soon to be demolished Bull Yard, the square next to the Litten Tree Building in Coventry. I found a variety of common plants eaking out life in the cracks in the brutalist architecture mixed with peach kernals, maple seeds and fragments of litter, some of which I later used in the work.
